Citrus Handmade Grape Spoon Sweet (Stafyli)

This traditional dessert is handmade with whole seedless white Sultana grapes floating in an all-natural syrup of sugar, lemon juice and water - no preservatives, artificial flavors or additives at all, just a simple sweetness that reminds you of a late Greek summer. “Spoon Sweets” are that quintessentially Greek accompaniment to coffee, and the grape version is often a children's favorite, too, thanks to its mild flavor. Spoon Sweets are traditionally served as you’re welcomed to someone’s home, with a spoonful on a small plate and a tall glass of cold water. But don’t just save this for visitors, share it with all your family and friends!

We love Stafyli, Grape Spoon Sweet, as a topping on vanilla ice cream, rice pudding and Greek yogurt. Try dressing up cheesecake, flan and panna cotta with these whole grapes. A spoonful with the simple syrup lends a sweet touch and texture to overnight oatmeal, tapioca and chia pudding. And, of course, you can even enjoy it the traditional Greek way, as a touch of sweet luxury with your afternoon coffee or tea.

Why Citrus

We chose Citrus for the way they have exalted the rare variety of Chian Mandarin, a PGI product, and for the passion they bring to all of their exclusive small-batch products. We love that we can help the team bring the rich history of the Greek island of Chios into a more contemporary, dynamic present here in the States.
