From the moment you twist open the lid, you’ll know what you’ve bought! This one has 17% thyme, far more than you’ll find in any commercial tomato sauce, and there’s no added water. It brings to mind the wild thyme growing on Greek mountains. Importantly, there are no artificial flavors or colorants, nor any preservatives or additives, so do give a good stir if needed.
We love the thick, spreadable texture as a rich base for pizza, bruschetta, as a tapenade or rich dip. We add a bit of olive oil and cooking water for a simple yet highly aromatic pasta sauce. Ideal for Bison Meatballs with Tomato and Thyme, or to prepare our friend Corinne's Terrine de Legumes, aka vegetable terrine. Make a delicious stovetop Greek youvétsi and if you have some leftover sauce, use it to make an easy tomato jelly!
